The Esports World Cup 2025 has confirmed Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege as one of the titles in the competition's calendar.
In August 2022, the shooter published by Ubisoft made its international debut in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as the game was included in the Gamers8 2022. After also featuring in Gamers8 2023, the shooter was also part of the Esports World Cup 2024.
Curiously enough, all three tournaments were won by Team BDS as all of the grand finals ended in 3-0 victories for the European organization, including wins against Team Falcons, M80, and w7m esports. However, the Brazilians redeemed themselves a few months later after defeating the French-majority roster in the BLAST R6 Major Montreal grand final.
It's worth mentioning that the Esports World Cup has already made some changes to the way the tournament will work in 2025. On December 3, the Esports World Cup's official X account unveiled a regulations update, including a statement regarding Joint Ventures.
Starting from the Esports World Cup 2025, rosters that are represented by the collaboration of two organizations won't be able to contribute to the collection of Club Championship points.
The best example of this in Rainbow Six Siege can be found in the partnership that Beastcoast formed with Cloud9 in June 2024, less than a month after winning the BLAST R6 Major Manchester and only a fortnight before the team played in the Esports World Cup 2024 North American open qualifiers.
