The Concord release date is moving into view and is set to be another fresh addition to the first-person shooter (FPS) genre.
Developed by Firewalk Studios, the game caught players' attention during PlayStation's State of Play presentation in May 2024. Set in a colourful sci-fi setting, there are plenty of different characters to master, each containing numerous abilities.
Concord has plenty of potential based on what's been revealed so far and our hub contains everything there is to know about the game including its release date and more.
Concord release date
Concord is set to launch on Aug. 23rd, 2024. The date was confirmed during the May 2024 State of Play. Firewalks Studios also revealed plans to host a beta before the game releases across the world.
As with all release dates, there's a chance of a delay. If there are any signs of the release date being pushed back, we'll update the guide with the latest information.
Concord platforms
Concord will be available on PlayStation 5 and PC which was confirmed during the State of Play. So far, there are no signs of the Sony-published shooter appearing on Xbox and the likelihood of this stance changing is slim.
Concord beta
The beta for Concord is scheduled to go live on July 12th-14th for those who have pre-ordered the game. Those who haven't will have to wait or the open beta taking place from July 18th-21st.
Concord gameplay
Concord is a 5v5 hero shooter that features a character roster possessing a number of different abilities. There are also several weapons and powers to master in order to gain the upper hand over the opposition.
At launch, there will be 16 characters to choose from and they're known as Freegunners, mercenaries who take part in high-stakes jobs across the Concord galaxy. When players aren't taking part in fast-paced matches, the Freegunners will interact with each other in cutscenes to develop their lore and narratives as the cycle progresses.
