Black Ops 7 was officially revealed with a trippy campaign trailer at Gamescom 2025, and Activision confirmed shortly after that the title will feature Carry Forward for Black Ops 6 content.
For those unaware, this was first used in Modern Warfare 3 (2023) to indicate that all Modern Warfare 2 (2022) cosmetics were also available in the newest title. However, after backlash from some community members, plans about Carry Forward have changed for better or for worse, and we are here to clear any doubts.
Will Carry Forward bring Black Ops 6 cosmetics to Black Ops 7?
Even though the original plan was to bring every cosmetic to the new game, Activision has walked back on this. Carry Forward will now only bring all double XP tokens and GobbleGums you've earned in Black Ops 6 to Black Ops 7.

This means that all operators, operator skins, and weapon skins from Black Ops 6 won't be available in the new title as previously announced.
The reception for this news has been mixed on social media, with some people complaining about their content in Black Ops 6 getting left behind, and others grateful because the new game won't have any extravagant or cartoon cosmetics from some of the recent collaborations.
When will Black Ops 6 cosmetics be added to Black Ops 7?
All XP tokens and GobbleGums from Black Ops 6 will carry forward to Black Ops 7 at the launch of the new title. In other words, once you download and start playing Black Ops 7 on November 14th, your tokens and your GobbleGums in Zombies will be ready to use.
