Overwatch 2 Season 13 is approaching fast given that the current season is set to only last eight weeks. Information is scarce at the moment since we are still a few weeks away from the start of the season.
However, a few small details about the new content were revealed through previous posts or announcements by the developers. Here is everything we have about the upcoming season.
Release date
According to the battle pass countdown, Overwatch 2 Season 13 is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, October 15 at 11:00 am PT (7:00 pm BST).
PC players will be able to preload the patch a few days before its release, allowing them to download everything beforehand.
Maps
Through a Developer Update video released back in March, Aaron Keller revealed that the team is planning to rework several maps sometime after Season 12.
The maps mentioned were Numbani, Circuit Royale, Dorado, and Havana. There is a possibility that some of these reworks could be released at the start of the new season, but nothing is set in stone for now.
In that same video, the game director specified that the team might try to focus on reworking maps rather than releasing new ones, which is why we don't expect a new one to be added this time.
Other details
Here are other minor details we can point out about the upcoming season to keep you in the loop:
- A new tank hero is set to arrive in Season 14, meaning a test weekend for this character could take place in Season 13.
- The Overwatch Halloween Terror event should make a comeback.
- Crash is set to receive more adjustments, as revealed by the gameplay director, Alec Dawson, through a post on the official website.
- Dawson also revealed that changes for Sombra are planned for the start of the season since she has been a big part of the Season 12 meta.
- A new mythic skin is set to be released but there are no clues as to which hero will receive it.
