The gun skins alone in Counter-Strike have created a massive marketplace over the years, with people trading, buying, and/or investing to get the highest-value cosmetics or get some sort of reward out of it. Valve made sure that all the skins from the previous game were transferred to CS2, allowing the market to continue thriving.
Now that we are a couple of months into the sequel, a new one-of-a-kind skin has been discovered and if you read the title, your jaw is probably resting on the floor simply because of its value.
A skin that's worth more than 2 houses
Recently, a new Case Hardened skin for the AK-47, the most popular gun in the game, was unpacked for the first time. As you can see in the feature image, this one belongs to the Blue Gem category, meaning that its value goes through the roof.
Case Hardened skins were introduced to the game back in 2013, however, this is the first time that someone has discovered a StatTrak, Factory New, 661 pattern version. What's special about this cosmetic is the fact that has a Minimal Wear condition and it's Factory New.
Shortly after the news broke, its existence was confirmed by the Chinese trading site Buff. If you're wondering about its value, the popular Twitch streamer ohnePixel estimates that the skin is worth between $800k and $1 million.
This means that the new AK skin might be the second most valuable in the game at the moment, with the 387 Pattern Karambit Case Hardened remaining in the top spot because of its estimated 1.5 million dollar value.
