Roster Changes

4. GohaN moves to bench on FaZe Clan

Guilherme "gohaN" Alf has been on this unchanged roster for over 14 months now since the beginning of Season 5, and as its Captain and in-game leader, he has helped the team reach 2 Pro League semi-finals and take 2 BR6 titles. However, despite being a key part of the team, he has decided to move to the bench until the next transfer window as he stated he "needs time to take care of [his] mind and body and, of course, enjoy the holidays with [his] family and friends".

His likely replacement in FaZe Clan will be João "yoona" Gabriel as he was entered into the FaZe Clan ESL roster last week. Yoona has played alongside the core of PaiN Gaming since Season 5 with just 3 Pro League victories in 15 months, however, they have seen a number of successes in other tournaments. Yoona has got to the final four in both Seasons 1 and 2 of BR6 2017, finished second in the OGA Pit LATAM tournament and, while under the organisation of YeaH! Gaming, were one of just 4 LATAM teams to make it to the 2018 Six Invitationals.

3. Twister Leaves NiP

Joining the roster as a coach just before the Pro League Season 6 LAN Finals, Marlon "Twister" Mello has been an integral part of the team since. In São Paulo he helped the Black Dragons roster achieve their most successful result to date, in which they defeated PENTA Sports to make the Grand Final in front of their home crowd, before losing to ENCE eSports.

Since then the team saw themselves make the knockouts at the 2018 Invitational, the Paris Major and at DreamHack Valencia but fail to make LAN during Season 7 with them sitting down in 7th position in Season 8. This has led to them to decide to drop their coach possibly hoping that a replacement may offer some new ideas to lift them out of the relegation zone and re-spark the quality that had previously made the team one of the best in the World.

2. Bor Leaves FaZe Clan

Thiago "bor" Borinelli previously played from Seasons 4 to 6 of the Latin American Pro League, initially on BRK e-Sports and then on Merciless Gaming, with little success before replacing Silence as a coach for FaZe Clan last month. On FaZe he has helped the roster reach 4th place in Pro League with a 4/1/2 W/D/L record which puts them just 1 point behind the league leaders of Team Liquid. Now, a week before FaZe Clan plays in the Brasileirão 2018 Season 1 Finals and before Pro league restarts, bor has announced his exit from the team hoping to rejoin the scene in the future as a player.

1. Black Dragons Replace DocKy With Sm4ll

Brayam "DocKy" Henrik previously played during Seasons 4 and 6 of Challenger League and Season 5 of Pro League on Operation Kino before joining Black Dragons for Season 8. This season, however, he has really struggled to keep up with the competition as he is currently the lowest-rated starting player on any team across NA, EU or LATAM Pro League.

This has led to Black Dragons understandably looking for a replacement who they found in Victor "Sm4ll" Felipe, a player with an extremely limited experience level. Sm4ll played during Season 4 of Challenger League on Nois Brinca but since then hasn’t played in any Pro or Challenger League team in Year 2 or 3.
