After announcing a number of tournaments alongside the tournament organizer of Slayout last month, Spacestation Gaming has now unveiled further details of June's invite-only tournament, titled the SlayStation Invitational Series.
Each month, an initial open qualifier will take place on both PC and the Xbox, with the former worth $2,000 and the latter $1,000. The top four teams from the PC event will then be invited to advance to the $5,000 Invitational Series event at the end of the month.
This Invitational will include four invited content creator teams, as well as the four qualified rosters, with June's teams being captained by FooYa, the ex-SI Champion of KingGeorge, and the SSG streamers of ThatOneBritt and yoboyRoy.
The June tournament will take place on June 26th, with the open qualifiers ending on June 20th and the full invited lineups likely being announced closer to the time.
Following this, similar tournaments will take place in July and August, totalling a massive $24,000 in prize money, making it a very notable addition to the usually sparse North American calendar.
