Valorant Omen Agent Guide: Abilities, tips, and tricks

Here's everything you need to know about Omen!

Omen is a Valorant agent that plays as a Controller. He has been in the game since its release date, back in June 2021.

Omen is considered to be one of Valorant's best agents. While he's a Controller, some players use him as a Duellist due to his abilities. However, he's more than that.

Here's everything you need to know about Omen!

Abilities

Omen's abilities make him an extremely versatile agent in Valorant. Here's a look at his loadout to explain why he's so strong in today's meta!

Basic - Shrouded Step

Shrouded Step is an ability that allows Omen to teleport from one place to another. This teleportation is range-limited

Basic - Paranoia

Omen's Paranoia is a blinding orb he can throw once every round. This orb can go through buildings and walls. It automatically blinds any opponent hit by the orb. The effects last for two seconds.

Signature - Dark Cover

Omen's Dark Cover allows him to release two big smoke clouds. To deploy these smoke clouds, Omen enters a phased world where he can choose where to throw the clouds. Once deployed, the cloud stays on the map for 15 seconds.

Ultimate - From the Shadows

Omen's From the Shadows is one of the best Ultimates in Valorant. With it, Omen can teleport to any part of the map. It's extremely useful to flank his opponents or to pick up the Spike.

How to use Omen in Valorant?

With Omen being so important in Valorant's meta, here are some tips on how to use the agent in the game!

Teleport to elevated spots

Omen's teleporting ability allows him to teleport himself to elevated positions that nobody else other than Jett would reach. Although teleporting yourself to higher places will make you an easy target, it's also a way to place yourself in positions your opponents won't expect.

Use From the Shadows for unexpected plants

When Omen unlocks From the Shadows, it's time to give him the Spike. With it, it's very easy to fake a push before suddenly going to the opposite bombsite with his instant teleportation.

For instance, if you fake Bomb A and you suddenly teleport to Bomb B, all of your enemies will have to waste time rotating to the opposite bomb.

Cover your teammates with your smokes

Some players forget that Omen has two smokes, especially those who use him as a Duellist. However, his smokes are crucial to win as many rounds as possible.

Using his smokes in the early stages of the round allows him to smoke the middle part of the map, making it harder for your opponents to know if it's safe. Additionally, it provides your teammates with extra coverage to rotate to one of the bombsites. You can also use Omen's smokes to protect your teammates while planting the Spike!
